Melanie Flood Projects is pleased to host Eight Takes, a group exhibition offering a glimpse into the rigorous practices of the ever-shifting emerging artist community of Portland. Ranging in disciplines from complex psychedelic video installation to large scale deconstructed photography exploring themes of death, identity, information overload & the landscape, Eight Takes features the work of Emily Wobb, John Whitten, Erin Mallea, Lara Kim, Genevieve Goffman, Kello Goeller, Brittney Connelly & Travis Beardsley. This exhibition is an invitation for the public to connect with the process and exports of a group of artists who have met and critiqued each other’s work every Monday for the past four months as part of Prequel’s inaugural season of programming.
